What to do if you just spilled liquid on your laptop
Time matters with liquid damage. Follow these steps before bringing it in:
Power it off immediately
Don’t shut down normally — hold the power button until it forces off. Every second powered on increases corrosion damage.
Unplug everything
Remove the charger, USB devices, and external drives. If the battery is removable, take it out.
Turn it upside down
Open the laptop and place it face-down like a tent on a towel. Lets liquid drain out instead of pooling on the board.
